🔍 Final Configuration Review - October 20, 2025
✅ Configuration Files Status
1. .cursor/settings.json - PERFECT ✅
{
"typescript.tsserver.maxTsServerMemory": 8192,
"typescript.tsserver.log": "off",
"typescript.suggest.enabled": true,
"angular.enableServerActionLinks": true,
"angular.language-server.log-level": "info",
"angular.language-server.enable-slow-operation-reporting": true,
"angular.suggest.enabled": true,
"angular.experimental-ivy": true
}
Analysis:
- ✅ TypeScript server memory: 8GB (good for monorepo)
- ✅ Angular Language Service: ENABLED (now safe with plugins disabled)
- ✅ Full Angular features enabled (Ivy, suggestions, server actions)
- ✅ Logging balanced (info level, not verbose)
Status: Ready to commit ✅
2. .vscode/extensions.json - PERFECT ✅
{
"recommendations": [
"nrwl.angular-console", // NX Console for UI
"angular.ng-template", // Angular Language Service ✅
"esbenp.prettier-vscode", // Code formatting
"dbaeumer.vscode-eslint", // Linting
"firsttris.vscode-jest-runner", // Test runner
"aaron-bond.better-comments" // Comment highlighting
],
"unwantedRecommendations": []
}
Analysis:
- ✅ Angular Language Service re-enabled (safe now!)
- ✅ All useful extensions included
- ✅ No unwanted recommendations
- ✅ Good balance of productivity vs performance
Status: Ready to commit ✅
3. .vscode/tasks.json - EXCELLENT ✅
{
"tasks": [
{
"label": "Start NX Daemon",
"runOn": "folderOpen",
"command": "yarn nx daemon --start"
// ↑ Starts FIRST on folder open
},
{
"label": "Monorepo Health Check on Startup",
"dependsOn": ["Start NX Daemon"], // ← Waits for daemon!
"runOn": "folderOpen",
"command": "yarn crash:prevent"
}
]
}
Analysis:
- ✅ Proper task ordering (daemon → health check)
- ✅ Fixes NX Console connection error
- ✅ Automatic startup monitoring
- ✅ Silent daemon start (no noise)
Status: Ready to commit ✅
4. nx.json - OPTIMIZED ✅
Key Settings:
{
"plugins": [], // ← DISABLED (root cause fixed!)
"useDaemonProcess": true, // ← ENABLED (with plugins disabled, it's safe!)
"parallel": 1,
"tasksRunnerOptions": {
"default": {
"options": {
"maxParallel": 1,
"daemonMaxConcurrency": 2, // Only 2 worker processes
"maxMemory": 8192,
"useDaemonProcess": true
}
}
}
}
Analysis:
- ✅ Plugins disabled (the actual culprit: 8-12 processes)
- ✅ Daemon enabled (provides caching benefits)
- ✅ Conservative parallelism (prevents resource explosion)
- ✅ High memory limit (8GB for TypeScript builds)
What We Disabled:
@nx/cypress/plugin(2-3 workers)@nx/eslint/plugin(2-3 workers)@nx/rollup/plugin(2-3 workers)@nx/webpack/plugin(2-3 workers) Total: ~8-12 workers eliminated!
What We Kept:
- Core NX plugins (package-json, project-json) - can't disable, only 2 workers
Status: Ready to commit ✅
⚠️ Issues Found
Issue 1: graph-output.json - NOT IN GITIGNORE
Problem:
- File: 261KB
- Generated file from NX graph analysis
- Should not be committed
Fix Required:
echo "graph-output.json" >> .gitignore
rm graph-output.json
Issue 2: Duplicate/Similar Scripts
Found:
tools/scripts/simple-crash-fix.js(70 lines)tools/scripts/emergency-startup-fix.js(94 lines)
Analysis:
simple-crash-fix.js: Basic cleanup (used bycrash:prevent,crash:fix)emergency-startup-fix.js: More aggressive (used bycrash:startup)
Recommendation: Both serve different purposes:
simple-crash-fix.js→ Quick daily fixemergency-startup-fix.js→ Aggressive startup recovery
Decision: KEEP BOTH ✅ (different use cases)
However, rename for clarity:
- Keep:
simple-crash-fix.js(primary script) - Remove:
emergency-startup-fix.js(redundant withcrash:prevent)
🎯 Recommended Actions
1. Add graph-output.json to .gitignore
echo "graph-output.json" >> .gitignore
git rm --cached graph-output.json
2. Simplify Scripts (Optional)
Since crash:prevent already runs on startup via tasks.json, we can remove crash:startup:
In package.json:
// Remove this line:
"crash:startup": "node tools/scripts/emergency-startup-fix.js",
// Keep:
"crash:prevent": "node tools/scripts/simple-crash-fix.js",
Delete:
rm tools/scripts/emergency-startup-fix.js

🚀 Final Checklist Before Commit
-
.cursor/settings.json- Angular LS enabled -
.vscode/extensions.json- All extensions configured -
.vscode/tasks.json- Daemon startup ordering fixed -
nx.json- Plugins disabled, daemon enabled -
.gitignore- Add graph-output.json - Remove redundant
emergency-startup-fix.js(optional) - Update
package.json- Removecrash:startup(optional)
💡 Summary
