Next Steps for Deployment

1. Create Railway Project

  1. Go to Railway dashboard
  2. Create new project: "backend-docs-api"
  3. Generate project token
  4. Add token to .env.local

2. Configure Railway Environment

Add these variables in Railway dashboard:

NODE_ENV=production
JWT_SECRET=<same as backend-api>
SYSTEM_TOKEN=<same as other APIs>
MONGODB_CONNECTION_STRING_TEST_MODULES=<MongoDB URI>
ALLOWED_ORIGINS=https://gograb.space,http://localhost:5010

3. Deploy

./deployment/deploy-docs-api.sh

4. Initial Sync

# Point to production API
export DOCS_API_URL=https://your-docs-api.railway.app/docs-api
export SYSTEM_TOKEN=<your-token>

# Sync all docs
yarn docs:sync

5. Build Frontend

# Update environment.prod.ts with your Railway URL
# Then build
nx build docs-angular --configuration=production

# Output: dist/apps/docs-angular/browser/

6. Deploy Frontend

Copy the build output to gograb.space/docs or deploy to a static hosting service.

Implementation Notes

Design Decisions

  1. Shared Authentication: Reused AuthCoreModule for consistency
  2. MongoDB Test Modules: Separate cluster for documentation data
  3. Real-Time Sync: MongoDB Change Streams + WebSocket for live updates
  4. TTL on Analytics: Auto-delete after 7 days to manage storage
  5. Public Read, Protected Write: Documentation is publicly readable

Pattern Consistency
