SESSION SUMMARY PAGES INTEGRATION

Ecosistema completo para organización y gestión de contenido con interfaces espaciales

Session Summary: Pages Integration & Data Architecture

Date: November 24, 2025
Session Focus: Page Renderer, Storage Architecture, Editor Enhancement

✅ What's Complete

1. Page Selector Component ✅

2. Page Renderer Module ✅

3. PagesService ✅

4. Documentation ✅

🚧 Known Issues

Issue 1: Configuration Tab Not Visible

Symptom: When selecting Page Renderer, only see "Style" and "Position" tabs

Likely Causes:

  1. Section doesn't have content.moduleId set when dropped
  2. Module not recognized in ModuleRegistry
  3. Signal reactivity not triggering

Debug Steps:

  1. Open Browser DevTools Console
  2. Look for drop logs: "📦 Creating regular module section"
  3. Check if moduleId: 'page-renderer' is logged
  4. Verify module registration

Temporary Workaround: See CONFIGURATION_TAB_DEBUG.md

Issue 2: No Pages in Database

Symptom: MongoDB shows 0 pages in /space/{spaceId}/universes collection

Root Cause: Pages are currently only stored locally (GgStorage), not synced to MongoDB

Solution Required:

  1. Create pages collection in MongoDB
  2. Add backend API endpoints
  3. Sync PagesService with backend

🎯 Next Steps (Priority Order)

High Priority (This Session)

1. Unify Pages Storage 🔴

Problem: Two separate storage approaches cause confusion

Solution: Make PagesService the single source of truth

Files to Modify:

Implementation:

// editor-ui.component.ts
import { PagesService } from '@libs-foundational/core-angular';

export class EditorUiComponent {
  private pagesService = inject(PagesService);

  async onSave(): Promise<void> {
    const currentPage = this.activePage();

    if (!currentPage) {
      this.editorService.setStatusMessage('No active page');
      return;
    }

    const updatedPage = {
      ...currentPage,
      widgets: this.widgets(),
      updatedAt: new Date().toISOString(),
      version: currentPage.version + 1
    };

    try {
      await this.pagesService.updatePage(currentPage.id, updatedPage);
      this.editorService.setStatusMessage('✅ Page saved successfully');
      this.save.emit(this.widgets());
    } catch (error) {
      this.editorService.setStatusMessage('❌ Error saving page');
      console.error('Save failed:', error);
    }
  }
}

2. Add Draft System with Auto-Save 🔴

Goal: Prevent data loss, enable publish workflow

Files to Modify:

Implementation:

// pages.service.ts
async saveDraft(page: Partial<World>): Promise<World> {
  const draftPage = {
    ...page,
    status: PageStatus.DRAFT,
    updatedAt: new Date().toISOString()
  } as World;

  if (draftPage.id) {
    return await this.updatePage(draftPage.id, draftPage);
  } else {
    return await this.createPage(draftPage);
  }
}

async publishPage(pageId: string): Promise<World | undefined> {
  const page = await this.getPage(pageId);
  if (!page) return undefined;

  return await this.updatePage(pageId, {
    status: PageStatus.PUBLISHED,
    publishedAt: new Date().toISOString(),
    publishedVersion: page.version
  });
}

Implementation:

// editor-ui.component.ts
ngOnInit(): void {
  // Auto-save draft every 30 seconds
  interval(30000).pipe(
    takeUntilDestroyed(this.destroyRef)
  ).subscribe(() => {
    void this.autoSaveDraft();
  });
}

private async autoSaveDraft(): Promise<void> {
  const currentPage = this.activePage();
  if (!currentPage || !this.hasUnsavedChanges()) return;

  try {
    const draftPage = {
      ...currentPage,
      widgets: this.widgets(),
      updatedAt: new Date().toISOString()
    };

    await this.pagesService.saveDraft(draftPage);
    this.logger.info('Draft auto-saved', { pageId: draftPage.id });
  } catch (error) {
    this.logger.error('Auto-save failed', { error });
  }
}

async onPublish(): Promise<void> {
  const currentPage = this.activePage();
  if (!currentPage) return;

  try {
    // Save current state first
    await this.onSave();

    // Then publish
    await this.pagesService.publishPage(currentPage.id);
    this.editorService.setStatusMessage('✅ Page published');
  } catch (error) {
    this.editorService.setStatusMessage('❌ Failed to publish');
    console.error(error);
  }
}

3. Implement Page Routing 🟡

Goal: Allow URL-based navigation between pages

Files to Modify:

Current Routes:

// editor.routes.ts (current)
export const EditorRoutes: Routes = [
  {
    path: '',
    component: EditorLayoutComponent
  }
];

Enhanced Routes:

// editor.routes.ts (new)
export const EditorRoutes: Routes = [
  {
    path: '',
    component: EditorLayoutComponent,
    children: [
      {
        path: '',
        redirectTo: 'new',
        pathMatch: 'full'
      },
      {
        path: 'new',
        component: EditorUiComponent,
        data: { mode: 'create' }
      },
      {
        path: ':pageId',
        component: EditorUiComponent,
        resolve: {
          page: PageResolver // Load page from PagesService
        },
        data: { mode: 'edit' }
      }
    ]
  }
];

Create Page Resolver:

// services/page.resolver.ts
import { inject } from '@angular/core';
import { ActivatedRouteSnapshot } from '@angular/router';
import { PagesService } from '@libs-foundational/core-angular';

export const PageResolver = async (route: ActivatedRouteSnapshot) => {
  const pagesService = inject(PagesService);
  const pageId = route.paramMap.get('pageId');

  if (!pageId) return null;

  const page = await pagesService.getPage(pageId);
  return page;
};

Usage:

http://localhost:5200/space/chrome-space-1/editor/new         → Create new page
http://localhost:5200/space/chrome-space-1/editor/page-home-123 → Edit existing page

Medium Priority (Next Session)

4. Create Pages Collection in MongoDB 🟡

Backend Work Required:

  1. Create collection schema
  2. Add API endpoints
  3. Sync PagesService with backend

Files to Create:

apis/backend-api/src/modules/pages/
├── pages.controller.ts
├── pages.service.ts
├── pages.schema.ts
└── dto/
    ├── create-page.dto.ts
    └── update-page.dto.ts

API Endpoints:

GET /api/spaces/:spaceId/pages → List all pages
GET /api/spaces/:spaceId/pages/:pageId → Get page by ID
POST   /api/spaces/:spaceId/pages           → Create page
PUT    /api/spaces/:spaceId/pages/:pageId   → Update page
DELETE /api/spaces/:spaceId/pages/:pageId   → Delete page
POST   /api/spaces/:spaceId/pages/:pageId/publish → Publish page

Low Priority (Future)

5. Widget Rendering in Page Renderer ⏳

6. Page Thumbnails ⏳

📝 Testing Checklist

Once implementation is complete, test:

🎓 Key Architectural Decisions

  1. Single Source of Truth: PagesService manages all pages
  2. Separation: Pages collection separate from Universes
  3. References Not Embeds: Universes reference pages by ID
  4. Draft System: Support drafts, published versions, history
  5. Local-First: GgStorage for immediate access, MongoDB for persistence
