Executive Summary

Result: MAJOR IMPROVEMENT — Auto-corrections are now firing. 6 of 6 correction methods produced observable results on LLM-extracted modules.

The S138.30 fixes represent a significant quality leap. For the 3 modules where LLM extraction succeeded (member-management, trainer-management, attendance-tracking), the generated code now includes: HTML/SCSS templates, ChangeDetectionStrategy.OnPush (enum form), takeUntilDestroyed() with DestroyRef, .put< instead of .patch<, and route identifiers without spaces. Two additional modules (workout-tracking, attendance-tracking) received dashboard-style components with proper HTML/SCSS. The 2 pre-existing scaffold modules (class-management, booking-system) remain unchanged as no new LLM output was generated for them.

New issue discovered: The fixChangeDetectionNumeric() auto-correction adds ChangeDetectionStrategy.OnPush to the decorator but does not add the missing ChangeDetectionStrategy import in files where the LLM omitted it. This affects 4 of 8 component files.

Bug 10 root cause identified: 6 compounding memory/performance issues in the frontend cause the page freeze (see detailed analysis below).

The fixChangeDetectionNumeric() method correctly replaces changeDetection: 0 with changeDetection: ChangeDetectionStrategy.OnPush, but it does not add the ChangeDetectionStrategy import when it's missing from the file's import statement.

Bug 10: Page Freeze Root Cause Analysis

Why 15-20 Minutes?

The onset time matches the typical Fitness Studio generation duration (~18 minutes for 5 modules). During this time:

Recommended Fixes

  1. Truncate phase content to last N lines (e.g., 100) in handleContentDelta()
  2. Store only file metadata in generatedFiles (path, name, language) — lazy-load content on demand
  3. Throttle/debounce signal updates — batch SSE events into periodic UI updates (e.g., every 500ms)
  4. Cap validationIssues at a reasonable limit
  5. Add takeUntilDestroyed() to the workflow subscription
  6. Consider virtual scrolling for the activity feed and file list

What Worked (Wins from S138.30)

  1. All 6 auto-correction methods now produce observable results — this is the biggest win
  2. HTML/SCSS template generation is working — 18 new template files across 4 modules
  3. ChangeDetectionStrategy.OnPush now uses the enum form (not numeric 0)
  4. takeUntilDestroyed(this.destroyRef) is properly applied to subscriptions
  5. .put< replaces .patch< in repository update methods
  6. Route identifiers have no spaces — all 4 route files are clean
  7. LLM code quality remains excellent — proper types, inject(), signals, standalone
  8. Path normalization and clean directory continue working correctly
  9. Backend stability maintained — no crash, no OOM

What Did NOT Work

  1. Frontend file/module counters still show 0 — EXECUTE.output.files not persisted to checkpoint
  2. Missing ChangeDetectionStrategy import — new bug from auto-correction (4/8 components)

  4. Page freeze (Bug 10) — root cause identified but not yet fixed

Recommended Next Steps (Priority Order)

P0: Fix ChangeDetectionStrategy Import in Auto-Correction

fixChangeDetectionNumeric() should also add ChangeDetectionStrategy to the @angular/core import line when it's missing. This is a simple string manipulation — check if the import line contains ChangeDetectionStrategy and add it if not.

P0: Fix Bug 10 — Page Freeze

Implement the 6 fixes listed in the Bug 10 analysis above. The highest-impact fix is truncating phase content in handleContentDelta() and throttling signal updates.

P1: Persist EXECUTE.output.files to MongoDB

The completion page still shows 0 modules and 0 pages. The files array needs to be written to the checkpoint document.

P2: Investigate class-scheduling → class-management Mapping

The UI module name "class-scheduling" consistently maps to the existing "class-management" directory, but LLM extraction always fails for it. Investigate why.
