Handoff: S114.2 Testing Report — Production Readiness Verification

Comprehensive test results from Testing Director covering all 6 test groups from the S114 production readiness handoff

Handoff: S114.2 Testing Report — Production Readiness Verification

From: Testing Director (Cowork, Session 114.2) To: All Coding Agents (Cursor Angular Agent, Backend Agent) Scope: Full verification of S110-S114 production readiness changes

Executive Summary

Overall Result: 85% PASS — 2 Bugs Found, Both Fixable

Tested all 6 test groups from HANDOFF-S114-production-readiness-testing.md. The vast majority of changes work correctly. Two bugs require coding agent attention before the platform can be considered production-ready.

Test Group Result Details
TG1: gograb-admin ✅ PASS All routes, sidebar, billing, analytics, MCP projects working
TG2: gograb-dev ⚠️ PARTIAL Routes migrated correctly, but workspace endpoint fails
TG3: Backend API ⚠️ BUG /ai-api/infrastructure/workspaces returns 404 via frontend proxy
TG4: gograb-ai ⚠️ BUG Still makes direct localhost:3001 requests
TG5: Vitto Hub ✅ PASS All 7 tabs work, observatory panel loads, route-based navigation functional
TG6: Cross-App URL ⚠️ PARTIAL gograb-admin and gograb-dev clean, gograb-ai still has hardcoded URLs

BUG #1: Workspace Endpoint 404 (HIGH Priority)

Problem

GET /ai-api/infrastructure/workspaces returns 404 when called from gograb-dev frontend (port 6300).

Observed Behavior

  1. SessionSelectorComponent in Control Center calls /ai-api/infrastructure/workspaces
  2. Request goes through Angular proxy → backend-ai-api (port 3001)
  3. Returns 404
  4. Component crashes with TypeError: result.map is not a function
  5. Workspace dropdown falls back to "default"
  6. Sessions query uses "default" workspace → finds no sessions → "No sessions found"

Console Error

ERROR TypeError: result.map is not a function
    at _SessionSelectorComponent.<anonymous> (chunk-3NNS7EDR.js:1511:33)

Network Evidence

GET /ai-api/infrastructure/workspaces → 404
GET /ai-api/infrastructure/sessions/workspace/default → 200 (empty)

Root Cause Analysis

The route IS defined at infrastructure.controller.ts line 1386:

@Get('workspaces')
async getAvailableWorkspaces() { ... }

The controller has @UseGuards(InfrastructureAuthGuard). Possible causes:

  1. Auth guard rejection — The guard checks for localhost IP, JWT, or API key. The request through Angular proxy may not pass the localhost check since it comes through the dev server proxy
  2. Proxy configuration — The proxy at proxy.conf.json routes /ai-api → http://localhost:3001 but may strip auth headers or modify request IP

Suggested Fix

Option A (Recommended): Add error handling in SessionSelectorComponent to gracefully handle 404:

// File: libs/libs-ai/multi-agent-dashboard/src/lib/components/session-selector/session-selector.component.ts
// Line ~1511: Wrap the .map() call with safety check
const workspaces = Array.isArray(result) ? result.map(...) : [];

Option B: Ensure the workspaces endpoint allows proxy requests. Check if InfrastructureAuthGuard needs to accept forwarded localhost requests (check X-Forwarded-For header).

Option C: Make the workspaces endpoint public (no guard) since it only returns workspace names, not sensitive data.

Files to Modify

Verification Steps

  1. Navigate to http://localhost:6300/agents/control-center
  2. Click Session dropdown
  3. Workspace dropdown should show real workspaces (e.g., "editor2", "gspace1")
  4. Sessions should load for the selected workspace
  5. No result.map is not a function error in console

BUG #2: gograb-ai Hardcoded localhost:3001 (MEDIUM Priority)

Problem

gograb-ai (port 6400) still makes direct requests to http://localhost:3001 bypassing the proxy, violating the S114 zero-hardcoded-URL requirement.

Observed Requests

GET http://localhost:3001/ai-api/space-agents/available → 200
GET http://localhost:3001/ai-api/ai/mcp/status → 200

Root Cause

apps/gograb-ai/src/environments/environment.ts lines 13-16 still have:

aiApiUrl: 'http://localhost:3001/ai-api'
backendAiApiUrl: 'http://localhost:3001'

These propagate to:

Suggested Fix

Update environment.ts to use proxy paths instead of direct URLs:

// File: apps/gograb-ai/src/environments/environment.ts
aiApiUrl: '/ai-api', // Use proxy path, not direct URL
backendAiApiUrl: '', // Empty = use relative URLs through proxy

Or use the AI_API_URL injection token pattern already established in other apps.

Files to Modify

Verification Steps

  1. Navigate to http://localhost:6400
  2. Open Network tab in DevTools
  3. Filter for "localhost:3001"
  4. Should see ZERO direct requests to localhost:3001
  5. All AI API requests should go through proxy path /ai-api/...

Passing Tests Summary

TG1: gograb-admin ✅

TG2: gograb-dev ✅ (except workspace bug)

TG5: Vitto Hub ✅

Production Readiness Checklist (Updated)

Score: 8/11 passing (73%)

Priority Order for Fixes

  1. Bug #1 (HIGH): Fix workspace endpoint 404 — this breaks the entire Control Center session management
  2. Bug #2 (MEDIUM): Eliminate hardcoded localhost:3001 from gograb-ai — functional but not production-ready
