Session 96 Handoff: Pipeline Wiring Complete → E2E Testing
Branch
session-94.2-gspace1 — 4 files modified, uncommitted.
What Was Done in Session 96 (Cowork)
Analysis Phase
A comprehensive audit identified 4 critical wiring gaps and 4 high-impact gaps beyond the 6 gaps documented in session 95. The key insight: session 95 built all the pieces correctly but left the integration wiring incomplete. The pieces exist; they just weren't connected.
Code Changes (4 files, 167 additions, 42 deletions)
C1: SSE Event Name Mismatch → FIXED
File: libs/libs-ai/gograb-ai-lib/src/lib/services/workflow-sse-client.service.ts
- Problem:
generateModule()only listened forgeneration_complete. PhaseOrchestrator emitsorchestration_complete. Different event names = frontend never gets the completion event. - Fix:
- Added
'orchestration_complete'to thePhaseProgressEventtype union - Added dedicated
orchestration_completeevent listener ingenerateModule() - Added
lastOrchestrationResultsignal (public readonly) that captures the enriched payload (moduleId, moduleName, moduleContext, generatedFiles) - The listener also emits the event as a
PhaseProgressEventfor observable subscribers
- Added
C2: AIModuleReceiverService Wiring → FIXED
File: libs/libs-structural/modularity-lib/src/lib/services/ai-module-receiver.service.ts
- Problem:
receiveFromOrchestration()was built but had zero callers in the entire codebase. - Fix:
- Imported
WorkflowSSEClientServicefrom@libs-ai/gograb-ai-lib - Injected it as a dependency
- Added an
effect()(field-level, Angular 17+) watchingsseClient.lastOrchestrationResult() - When the signal fires with a moduleId, auto-calls
receiveFromOrchestration()with the full payload - No subscription management needed — purely reactive via Angular signals
- Imported
- Dependency direction:
libs-structural → libs-ai(already established, no circular dep)
C3: Module Workbench Auto-Load → FIXED
File: libs/libs-structural/modularity-lib/src/lib/components/module-workbench/module-workbench.component.ts
- Problem: When AIModuleReceiverService saved a module and set
lastReceivedModuleId, the workbench had no way to know about it. - Fix:
- Imported and injected
AIModuleReceiverService - Added
effect()inngOnInit()watchingaiReceiver.lastReceivedModuleId() - When it detects a new module ID (different from current), auto-calls
loadExistingModule() - Clears reception state after loading to prevent re-triggers
- Imported and injected
C4: Deploy Step Raw TypeScript → FIXED
File: libs/libs-structural/modularity-lib/src/lib/components/steps/deploy-step/deploy-step.component.ts
- Problem:
deployToCloudflare()grouped.tsfiles as.jsand sent them to Cloudflare. Raw TypeScript doesn't execute in browsers. Also referenced a nonexistentruntime.js. - Fix:
- Only includes
.jsfiles (not.ts) and.cssfiles (not.scss) in the bundle - Removed broken
<script src="runtime.js">reference - Rebuilt
generateIndexHtml()to produce a rich, self-contained static page with:- Gradient header with module name/description
- Stats grid (entities, actions, components, routes)
- Entity cards showing field names and types
- Embeddable/component cards with descriptions
- XSS-safe HTML escaping via new
escapeHtml()method
- Source
.ts/.scsspaths are preserved inmanifest.sourceFilesfor reference
- Only includes
The Complete Signal Chain (Now Wired)
PhaseOrchestrator (backend-ai-api:3001)
│ Emits SSE event: orchestration_complete
│ payload: { moduleId, moduleName, moduleContext, generatedFiles }
│
▼
WorkflowSSEClientService.generateModule() [C1]
│ EventSource listener: 'orchestration_complete'
│ Parses payload → sets _lastOrchestrationResult signal
│ Also emits as PhaseProgressEvent on the Subject
│
▼
AIModuleReceiverService._orchestrationWatcher [C2]
│ effect() watches lastOrchestrationResult signal
│ Calls receiveFromOrchestration(payload)
│ → If payload has inline moduleContext: saves directly
│ → Otherwise: GET /ai-api/workflow/modules/:id/context + /files
│ Saves to ModuleStorageService (flash persistence)
│ Sets _lastReceivedModuleId signal
│
▼
ModuleWorkbenchComponent [C3]
│ effect() watches aiReceiver.lastReceivedModuleId()
│ Calls loadExistingModule(moduleId)
│ Module context populates: entities, state, actions, embeddables
│
▼
6-Step Walkthrough
│ Models → State → Actions → UI → Test → Deploy
│
▼ (Deploy step)
deployToCloudflare() [C4]
│ Filters browser-ready assets only (.html, .css, .js)
│ Generates self-contained index.html
│ Sends bundle to PageDeploymentService
│
▼
POST /deployment/:tenantId/deploy-bundle (backend-api:3000)
│ Creates MongoDB record
│ Uploads to Cloudflare Pages
│

Two Flows That Must Work
Flow A: Module Generation (Vibe Code via PhaseOrchestrator)
Readiness: ~75% (was 40% before C1-C4)
What's wired now: PhaseOrchestrator → SSE → Frontend receiver → Storage → Workbench auto-load → 6 steps → Cloudflare deploy
Remaining unknowns (must test):
- Does the backend PhaseOrchestrator actually emit
orchestration_completewith the enriched payload? (Session 95 says yes, but untested at runtime) - Does the AI Gateway produce valid generation output? (External dependency)
- Does
ModuleStorageService.saveModule()correctly save the adapted ModuleContext? - Does
loadModule()in the workbench correctly hydrate all 6 steps? - Does
PageDeploymentService.deploy()get a proper response from the backend?
Flow B: Platform Generation (Visual via VibeUniverseGenerator)
Readiness: ~85% (unchanged — this flow was already well-wired)
Entry points: Hub → "AI Generator" or "Unified Builder"
Key route: /space/{slug}/universe/{slug}/vibe or /builder
Services: GenerationRouterService → WorkflowSSEClientService → VibeGenerator auto-sync to canvas
What the Cursor Agent Must Do
Step 1: Verify Compilation
cd gspace1
npx tsc --noEmit --project libs/libs-ai/gograb-ai-lib/tsconfig.lib.json
npx tsc --noEmit --project libs/libs-structural/modularity-lib/tsconfig.lib.json
If there are errors, fix them. The 4 changes were verified structurally but not compiler-tested.
Step 2: Commit the Changes
git add libs/libs-ai/gograb-ai-lib/src/lib/services/workflow-sse-client.service.ts
git add libs/libs-structural/modularity-lib/src/lib/services/ai-module-receiver.service.ts
git add libs/libs-structural/modularity-lib/src/lib/components/module-workbench/module-workbench.component.ts
git add libs/libs-structural/modularity-lib/src/lib/components/steps/deploy-step/deploy-step.component.ts
git commit -m "feat(pipeline): wire C1-C4 critical gaps for module generation → deployment
- C1: Add orchestration_complete SSE listener + signal in WorkflowSSEClientService
- C2: Auto-wire AIModuleReceiverService via effect() watching SSE signal
- C3: Module workbench auto-loads from receiver's lastReceivedModuleId
- C4: Deploy step filters browser-ready assets, generates rich static HTML"
Step 3: E2E Test Flow A — Module Generation
- Ensure all servers are running (frontend:5200, backend:3000, ai-api:3001, AI Gateway)
- Navigate to
http://localhost:5200/space/chrome-space-1/universe/paks-uni-1/hub - Click "AI Generator" or "Unified Builder"
- Enter: "Employee Management module with CRUD, dashboard, and analytics"
- Watch console for:
[WorkflowSSEClient] SSE connection opened[WorkflowSSEClient] Phase event received { type: 'phase_start' }[WorkflowSSEClient] Orchestration complete received { moduleId: '...' }[AIModuleReceiverService] SSE orchestration_complete signal detected, auto-receiving[AIModuleReceiverService] Module saved to storage
- Navigate to Workbench → should auto-load the module
- Walk all 6 steps
- In UI step → "Create Page from Embeddables"
- In Deploy step → select "Cloudflare Pages" → deploy
Step 4: E2E Test Flow B — Platform Generation
- From Hub → "AI Generator" or "Unified Builder"
- Select "full-configuration" workflow type
- Generate a complete platform
- Verify modules appear in universe canvas
- Deploy via Hub → "Quick Deploy" or Launch Station
Step 5: Fix Runtime Issues
Expect these categories of issues:
- Missing providers: If a
NullInjectorErrorfires, a service isn't provided. Check the barrel exports. - CORS issues: Backend on :3000/:3001, frontend on :5200. Verify CORS is configured.
- SSE event format mismatch: If the backend's
orchestration_completepayload doesn't match what the frontend expects ({ moduleId, moduleName, moduleContext, generatedFiles }), checkphase-orchestrator.service.ts→ the P0-A enrichment code. - ModuleContext shape mismatch: If
loadModule()fails, the adapted ModuleContext from the backend may not match the frontend'sModuleContextinterface. Checkphase-result-to-module-context.adapter.ts. - Deployment API errors: If
deploy-bundlefails, check MongoDB connection and Cloudflare env vars.

Non-Critical Items (Do After E2E Works)
ModuleStorageService index sync:
ModuleContextService.createModule()doesn't updateModuleStorageService.moduleIndex. Module list can become stale. Not a blocker — workbench loads by ID, not by browsing index.Mock API auto-registration: Generated CRUD modules create mock API files but
MockInterceptorConfigauto-registration is unverified. Only matters for canvas preview with data.PageCodeGeneratorService integration: The deploy step generates a static landing page. A richer integration would use
PageCodeGeneratorService.generateDeployment(page)to render actual page-builder output. Requires type alignment betweenMappedPageandPage.Dual storage pattern: Both
ModuleContextServiceandModuleStorageServicewrite tomodule-context:prefix keys. Works fine for single-user, may cause issues with concurrent tab editing.
