🎯 WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED

1. Analyzed Storage Architecture ✅

Question: "Are we using mock-api? Where is data saved?"

Answer:

• IndexedDB: Primary storage (space data is HERE!)
• localStorage: Cache layer
• Mock-API: Only for auth endpoints
• MongoDB: Backend (empty, not deployed yet)

2. Created Editable Slug Feature ✅

What: Click-to-edit space slug in dashboard
Why: Let users fix incorrect slugs without database tools
How: Inline editing component with validation

3. Identified Root Cause ✅

Problem: "space-test-should-not-work" persisting
Root Cause: Old data in IndexedDB, not backend
Solution: Edit slug directly in UI (now possible!)

User Experience:

1. Navigate to dashboard
2. Find "Current Space" card
3. Click the slug: "space-test-should-not-work"
4. Type new slug: "my-space"
5. Press Enter
6. Confirm dialog appears
7. URL updates to /my-space/dashboard
8. Page reloads with new slug ✅

Why Backend Returns 404:

• Backend code exists locally ✅
• Backend NOT deployed to Railway ❌
• App gracefully falls back to IndexedDB ✅
• This is EXPECTED behavior! (offline-first)

🎓 KEY INSIGHTS

1. Data Storage Hierarchy:

1st: Try Backend API
     └─ Online? → Call /api/spaces/initialize
     └─ Offline? → Skip to #2

2nd: Try IndexedDB
     └─ Has data? → Load from browser
     └─ Empty? → Create new

3rd: Cache Locally
     └─ Save to IndexedDB for offline access

4th: Sync to Backend
     └─ When online: Push changes to MongoDB
