📋 Decision Context
Question:
How to rename/migrate MongoDB test-modules cluster data to a properly named cluster for documentation?
Task: MongoDB cluster reorganization - Session 100
🎯 Decision Made
Chosen:
Clone data via mongodump/mongorestore to new GoGrab-Docs Flex cluster
Options Considered:
- Rename cluster in Atlas (not supported)
- Clone data via mongodump/mongorestore to new GoGrab-Docs cluster
- Use Atlas Live Migration
- Keep test-modules and just rename env vars
💭 Reasoning
Atlas does not support cluster renaming. Created a new Flex tier cluster (GoGrab-Docs) and migrated 585 documents + all indexes with mongodump/mongorestore. Zero failures. Renamed env var from MONGODB_CONNECTION_STRING_TEST_MODULES to MONGODB_CONNECTION_STRING_DOCS across all source code. Kept backward-compat function in env-loader.js for any scripts still referencing old var name.
