🔧 Session 30 - Critical Fixes Summary
Three critical issues identified and fixed in this session.
🚨 Critical Fix #1: Claude Code MCP Registration
Problem
.claude/mcp.json created but MCP server not appearing in Claude Code
Root Cause
Claude Code extension documentation states: "MCP features can only be configured using the command-line interface"
Creating config file alone is insufficient.
Solution
claude mcp add --transport stdio --scope project mcp-gograb-ai -- /path/to/start-server.sh
Verification
✅ Screenshot shows mcp-gograb-ai as "connected" (green)
Files Fixed
scripts/setup-claude-code-mcp.sh- Added CLI registrationCLAUDE-CODE-MCP-MANUAL-SETUP.md- Manual instructionsdocs/english/AI/MCP/setup/claude-code-setup.md- Complete guide
🚨 Critical Fix #2: Session Tracking Broken
Problem
MCP logged decisions to session 29.11/29.12 instead of 30.1
Root Cause
Multi-part failure:
session-30.jsonwas empty (1 byte)history.jsonstill had session 29 as currentactive.jsonwas missing- MCP correctly read from
history.json(source of truth) but it was wrong
Solution
- Created proper
session-30.jsonwith complete manifest - Updated
history.jsoncurrentSession to 30.1 - Marked session 29 as "completed"
- Ran
yarn session:syncto regenerateactive.json - Updated
.cursor/mcp-config.jsonmanually
Verification
$ yarn session:status
Current: 30
Current ID: editor2-30.1
Agent: documentation-agent
Prevention Checklist Created
See SESSION-TRACKING-FIX.md for mandatory checklist
🚨 Critical Fix #3: Numbered Directory Names
Problem
Created 01-getting-started, 02-setup, etc. (violates AGENTS.md standards)
Root Cause
Misunderstood documentation standards - numbers belong in frontmatter 'order' property, not directory names
Solution
Renamed all directories:
01-getting-started→getting-started02-setup→setup03-usage→usage04-architecture→architecture05-training→training06-command-center→command-center07-development→development08-roadmap→roadmap
Updated all internal links in README files.
Verification
$ tree docs/english/AI/MCP -L 1
# Shows: No numbered prefixes ✅
📊 Impact Summary
| Issue | Severity | Status | Prevention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Claude Code MCP | Critical | ✅ Fixed | CLI registration in setup script |
| Session Tracking | Critical | ✅ Fixed | Mandatory checklist created |
| Directory Names | High | ✅ Fixed | Follow AGENTS.md standards |
✅ All Fixes Verified
- Claude Code MCP shows "connected"
- Session 30 active in all tracking files
- Directory names follow standards
- All internal links updated
- Documentation reorganized
- Prevention checklist created
🎯 Key Learnings
1. Always Update history.json First (CRITICAL)
Before: Created manifest, forgot history.json After: Update history.json FIRST, then everything else
2. CLI Registration Required for Claude Code (CRITICAL)
Before: Assumed config file was enough
After: Must run claude mcp add command
3. Use Frontmatter for Ordering (IMPORTANT)
Before: Numbered directory names After: Semantic names + 'order' in frontmatter
