Session 49: Universe Creation Flow Fix
Overview
This session fixes the universe creation flow redirection issue. After creating a universe through the dashboard wizard, users were being redirected to the standalone /canvas route instead of the /builder (unified-builder) route.
Problem
In universe-creation-wizard.component.ts, after creating a universe, the wizard was navigating to:
const targetUrl = `/space/${spaceSlug}/universe/${universeSlug}/canvas`;
This is the standalone canvas, which doesn't integrate all the tools.
Solution
Changed the navigation target to the unified-builder:
const targetUrl = `/space/${spaceSlug}/universe/${universeSlug}/builder`;
The unified-builder is the correct destination because:
- Split-view AI + Canvas: Provides the full builder experience with AI Generator on one side and Canvas on the other
- Tool Integration: Integrates all tools (AI Generator, Canvas, Preview, Structure View, Page Builder, Logic Builder, Layout Builder)
- Session 48 Architecture: Per session 48 architecture decisions, this is the new standard for building universes
- Better UX: Users can immediately start using AI to generate modules while seeing the results in the canvas

Fallback Order
The navigation now follows this fallback order:
- Primary:
/builder(unified-builder) - Fallback 1:
/canvas(standalone canvas) - Fallback 2:
/dashboard(space dashboard)
Template Selection
The template selection options in the wizard ARE working correctly. They:
- Initialize universe modules based on template (
initializeUniverseModules) - Seed template-specific data (
TemplateSeedingService.seedUniverse) - Start onboarding flow (
OnboardingService.startFlow)
The modules created depend on the selected template:
- Blank: No initial modules
- Simple Website: Navigation + Galaxy + World + 3 pages + Contact Form feature
- E-commerce: Navigation + Store Galaxy + Catalog World + Commerce World + pages
- Blog: Navigation + Content Galaxy + Blog World + Static World + pages
- SaaS: Navigation + Platform Galaxy + Dashboard World + Account World + pages
- Portfolio: Navigation + Showcase Galaxy + Projects World + Profile World + pages
