Session 77: MCP Platform Testing & Documentation

Date: January 31, 2026 Focus: Comprehensive MCP platform testing, tool documentation, and dead code cleanup Status: Completed

Executive Summary

Session 77 was a major quality assurance and documentation session for the GoGrab AI MCP platform. We:

Expanded MCP tools from 76 to 78 by registering previously dead handlers
Created comprehensive E2E test suite with 102+ test cases
Updated all documentation to reflect current tool inventory
Fixed critical bugs including Mongoose enum validation and WebSocket event handling

Key Achievements

1. Dead Code Resolution

Registered track_outcome tool (was exported but never registered)
Registered report_module_outcome tool (was exported but never registered)
Total tools now: 78

2. Documentation Updates

Updated MCP-GOGRAB-AI-REFERENCE.md with all 78 tools
Updated docs/AGENTS.md with new tool categories
Updated tool count in README.md (37 → 78)
Added documentation for:
- Browser Automation (9 tools)
- Desktop Connectivity (7 tools)
- Task Runner (6 tools)
- RPC & Discovery (2 tools)
- Outcome Tracking (2 tools)

3. Comprehensive Test Suite Created

agent-workflows.test.ts - 24 tests for handoff lifecycle and RPC
automation-flows.test.ts - 34 tests for browser and desktop automation
workflow-learning.test.ts - 16 tests for task runner and decision learning
error-handling.test.ts - 28 tests for error handling across all categories
Total: 102 test cases, all passing

4. Bug Fixes

Added testing to Decision schema enum (fixed Mongoose validation error)
Added heartbeat event handler in NativeWsGateway (fixed unknown event warning)
Fixed TypeScript strict mode errors in RPC tools
